Statement courtesy of Reeds Country Hotel website...

"Following the recent severe coastal flooding on Thursday 5th December 2013, and the immense damage internally and externally caused to the hotel, it is with sincere regret and sadness that we have to announce that we are unable to recover financially from the cost of the huge amount of work and renovation now needed.

It is because of this that we had to make the very difficult decision that Reeds Hotel is to enter into voluntary liquidation. Anyone with outstanding bookings please contact the licenced insolvency practitioner instructed by the only shareholder and director to assist with arrangement to place the company into liquidation, Chamberlain & Co, Resolution House, 12 Mill Hill, Leeds, LS1 5DQ.

We would like to thank all our staff, friends and colleagues for their support and kind words, and we thank everyone that have allowed us to be part of their lives and celebrations at Reeds Hotel and apologise to those that we are no longer able to accommodate.

The loss of Reeds Hotel is heart-breaking to our family and is something that we hope to move forward from."
